Lucy Heard R.A.D R.T.S

Lucy is a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance having completed the Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma. Lucy originally trained at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park and Northern Ballet School, before embarking on her professional career in dance. She has since been teaching for 15 years in London and the Home Counties. Lucy is truly passionate about making ballet accessible for all

PRINCIPAL

Rachel Loxton I.S.T.D

Rachel began her professional training as a classical ballet dancer at Elmhurst Ballet School before continuing her studies with the Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.

Following her transition into coaching, she has worked with students of all ages and abilities across the globe, passionately guiding them towards achieving their artistic ambitions. Through her student-centred approach, Rachel creates a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment in which each pupil can flourish. She encourages dancers to explore the beauty of classical ballet while discovering immersive and expressive ways to communicate through the art form.

Through complemented training, including associate programmes and bespoke private tuition - students under Rachel’s guidance have gained places at prestigious vocational institutions such as the Royal Ballet School, Royal Ballet Junior Associates, Rambert , Laine Theatre Arts, The Place, Canada’s National Ballet School, Performers College, and more.

In addition to her work as an educator, Rachel is an accomplished choreographer. Her choreography has been showcased nationally as well as on international stages, with multiple works presented at the Dance World Cup Finals, one of the world’s most prestigious competitions for young dancers.

Abigail Colson I.S.T.D

Abigail began her dance training at Dawson School of performing arts where she achieved outstanding exam results in ISTD Modern, Ballet and Tap, and completed her intermediate Ballet exam under Rachel’s tutoring.

During this time she also competed for Team England in the Dance World Cup in Portugal and Spain and became a Janet Cram finalist as well as receiving a multitude of awards at various competitions across the country.

After completing her DDE Modern exam she shared her passion for dance by teaching in a multitude of styles for a year before successfully gaining a place at Laine Theatre Arts where she is currently in her first year studying Professional Musical Theatre.
